SSE International Forum, observer member of the UN Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy

The conference of the Institute of United Nations Research for Social Development (UNRISD) entitled "Potential and Limits of the Social and Solidarity Economy" held in Geneva in May 2013 gave birth to inter-UN agencies task force dedicated to the SSE. With the aim to promote the social and solidarity economy in the various agencies of the United Nations, the taskforce brings together the following agencies:
UNRISD, International Labour Organization (ILO), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Geneva Representation Office, United Nations Non-governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), TDR (Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases), Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS), United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN-DESA), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), UN Women, United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and World Health Organization (WHO)
SSE International Forum is observer member of this taskforce. Its representatives can therefore attend the meetings and contribute to the work of the taskforce.
