ILGSSE : 2nd meeting of the working group on financing for SSE

The International Leading Group on Social and Solidarity Economy, of which SSE International Forum is permanent co-secretary, is leading a working group on financing the Social and Solidarity Economy with a view to organizing an international conference on this subject.
In keeping with the meeting of this working group on financing for SSE which was held on last 8th December 2016 at the Ministry for the Economy and Finance in Paris, the second meeting of the working group on Financing the Social and Solidarity Economy, will be held on Friday, March 31st, at 10:00 am (Montreal time). Organized in partnership with INAISE, secretary to this working group, the discussions and recommendations focused on diversification and the use of new technologies in financing the SSE :
1. What new tecnologies are developed and used for financial inclusion ? What is their role and impact in terms of SSE financing ?
2. After identifying new models and practices, how can we hinghlight them ? To what extent do they meet the specific SSE's need ?
3. How these models can be reproduced according to geographic specificities ?
To exhange views on the subject, many actors were present : France Active, the International Network for the Promotion of Social and Solidarity Economy (INPSSE), Concordia University, the Global Found for Cities Development (FMDV), the European Commission - DG Growth (Clusters Unity, Social and Entrepreneurship Economy), the UN inter-agency Task Force on SSE and the United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS).
